Elementary  Mrs. Smith is a graduate of DeRuyter Central and has taught here for over 30 years. She received her bachelors degree and masters degree from the State University College at Cortland.

Mr. Burdick is also a graduate of DeRuyter Central. He has taught here for the last nine years, coached Mod track and Mod soccer those nine years and Varsity Volleyball for the last 14 years. She graduated from SUNY Cortland with a bachelor's degree in PE and athletic training and a master's degree in Health.
