DEVELOPING KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS FOR FITNESS AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY THROUGHOUT LIFE

District Philosophy:

Physical Education is an integral part of total education program. It is that phase of education which provides an opportunity through activity for physical, mental and social development and improvement of the individual to meet the challenges of life.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION GENERAL RULES AND EXPECTATIONS
IT WILL BE EDUCATIONAL, SAFE, AND FUN!!!

General Rules:

Students need to bring a change of clothes for each gym class. They need to be prepared for all weather conditions. Any day a student is not prepared they will receive a zero for that class period. All classes are coeducational classes, students need to dress accordingly.

Medical excuses are to be handled through the School Nurse first thing in the morning. Any injuries are to be reported immediately. Students are responsible to report medical restrictions to the teacher.

Students missing a class are responsible for any missed lessons before the written exam.

Students will participate safely and respect the rights of others.

As is the School policy, there is no cell phone use (keep them in the gym locker).

Locker room locks should be locked at all times, during class time as well as after class (this will help prevent losing valuables and vandalism).

Expectations:

Students will come to class ready to participate.

Students will strive to keep this a safe environment and show respect to everyone.

Students will give your best effort in all activities.

Grading Policy:

See Elementary or Middle/High School for their specific policies by clicking on them.

No jewelry: watches, rings, necklaces, bracelets, body piercing, etc. will be worn during Physical Education class.

Proper clothing and footwear.
